


Vestibular Pathology

When patients complain of dizziness, vertigo, unsteadiness, and/or gaze instability, clinicians must understand how typical vestibular pathologies present. This 1.5-hour on-demand course provides in-depth knowledge about pathology background, pathophysiology, and symptom presentation for clinicians who evaluate and treat patients with vestibulopathy.
As part of this course, participants will complete the “Vestibular Pathology” chart, a great reference to keep on hand when evaluating patients with vestibular pathology.
Audience
Relevant for all healthcare providers that treat patients with vestibulopathy.
Course Objectives
After completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Describe whether a vestibular pathology is due to peripheral or central causes based on the affected anatomical structure.
Identify typical vestibular pathologies based on presentation of quality, duration, tempo, triggering activities, and associated symptoms for the purpose of applying it to patients suspected of vestibulopathy.
